I haven’t written much on this blog (3 posts so far (and they were all in February 2026)), but I leaned on AI (maybe to heavily) to write them. I’m not opposed to using AI, but as I look back on them, while the ideas are mainly mine, the organization of the words certainly is not. I don’t like that. If I’m honest with myself, it doesn’t feel engaging to read those.
Therefore, going forward, I want to write all of my posts by hand. I still may use AI to help generate points and flesh out ideas, but I want all of the words on this blog to be mine (especially all of the parenthetical asides).
As I’ve used AI more and more in my job, I’m starting to crave the messiness of the human experience in the rest of my life. I was talking to Claude a lot outside of work, and now…not so much. Now, I use it more like Google search: I have a question, give me an answer and cite your sources.
I think, overtime, handcrafted/bespoke items will become more precious, as AI can turn out mass quantities of things, particularly words. I’m so bored reading walls of text that could have just as easily been bullet points, and probably were bullet points fed into an AI prompt. I think we’ll see an influx of live experiences as we start to get disillusioned with what is in the digital realm. It seemed so promising in the early 2000’s, now it’s a lot of gaming for your attention. Bah, this is getting depressing.
This is a messy post, and that’s okay.
